The Plumbers’ 34th Annual Lecture will be delivered by Professor Mala Rao OBE, Senior Clinical Fellow Imperial College London and Trustee of Wateraid UK on Monday 21st May 2018 at The Royal College of Physicians. She has a concern for and understanding of the health impacts of climate change and environmental degradation have grown over the past few decades. An NHS public health physician by background, her career has spanned public health practice, policy and research, in the local, national and global arenas. Deeply committed to health and social equality, she has become internationally recognised for championing access to safe water and sanitation and for raising awareness of the impacts of climate change on health, especially the health of women and children.
An opportunity not to be missed for Liverymen and guests, Corporate Members their guests, trainees, apprentices and graduates to hear about the challenges of water and health.
The Royal College of Physicians is at 11 St Andrews Place, Regents Park, London NW1 4LE. The event will start at 5 pm with the lecture at 6 pm. This will be followed by reception drinks at 7 pm and an excellent dinner at 7.30 pm. The evening will end at approximately 9.30 pm.
The Lecture is open to:
– all Liverymen and their guests
– Corporate Members and their guests
– Corporate Members trainees, apprentices and graduates (special concessions apply)
The price for attending the lecture and dinner is £75 a head (tables of 10 may be booked).
The price for attending the lecture only is £25 a head.
All proceeds from the Lecture go to our charity, so please remember to make payments to our charity account and not the main company account.
