Our livery golf season got off to a fabulous start at the splendid Swinley Forest Golf Club near Ascot by invitation from the Horners’ company, accompanied by the Fuellers. A favourite of the late Queen Mother, no less, we enjoyed a great day’s golf. After a misty start, we basked in sunshine for the rest of the round. The chairman scored a rare six stableford points with an eagle on the stoke index 1 par 4 and both he and the secretary were very creditable runners-up. Well done to both, who received rather nice prizes of a bottle of wine each, after a very nice lunch.
The PGS is going from strength to strength; twenty members have signed up and we have a full programme of events for the year. Click on the image below to see it all. If you would like to join us, all the details are here too. We really do have a lot of fun and fellowship…….
