Plumbers’ Golf Society Final Outing of 2022
The Plumbers’ Golf Society rounded off the 2022 season with a hugely enjoyable social round of golf (aren’t they all!?) on 1st September, at secretary David Hannam’s home course of Farleigh in Surrey, followed by a delicious lunch – thank you, David.
We enjoyed a great day at this lovely heathland course, with wonderful views all the way to the City of London, to end our year.
Fourteen members and guests played in warm and quite windy conditions, with the odd spit of rain, but nothing to dampen our fun! The winners of this informal day were Luke and Tony Peters, with guest Mick Medcalf, with an impressive 92 points.
In fact, the PGS has enjoyed a fabulous season in 2022, with considerable success across the board. We came second in the Horners’ Spring meeting at Swinley Forest and the prestigious Inter-Livery Prince Arthur Cup at Walton Heath, regained the Horners’ Trophy at Ashridge and won both the team and individual competitions in the Marketors’ Inter-Livery ‘Ryder Cup’ at Verulam.
Well done to everyone who contributed to such a great season. And thank you to secretary David Hannam and treasurer, Tony Peters, for all your hard work throughout the year organising us. We couldn’t do it without you.
The programme for 2023 will be out shortly. Don’t forget to put the dates in you diary so you don’t miss out. If you would like to join us, just contact David Hannam at plumbersgolfsociety@gmail.com for more information. We really do have great fun on and off the course!
