Plumbers’ Carol Service 2021

Company News

The festive season for 2021 got off to a great start with our Christmas Carol Service at St Magnus-the- Martyr.  Led by our company chaplain, Father Philip Warner, we enjoyed an evening of celebration, mulled wine and a buffet.

Seventy four liverymen, their families and friends gathered at our company church for our annual festive celebration. Warmed and with throats lubricated by mulled wine and mince pies, we enjoyed our traditional service led by Father Philip, accompanied by organist John Eadie and the fabulous St Magnus choir with some excellent recitals.

The Master, along with Upper Warden Paul Nash, Renter Warden David Adams, Past Master Robert Burgon and Senior Steward Damon Reynolds read the lessons and our accomplished learned Clerk, Adrian Mumford helped conclude the service, playing for the final carol “Hark, the herald-angels sing” and a musical piece “Toccata sur un Noel”.

As ever our marvellous stewards laid on a great finger buffet after the service, with more mulled wine, wine and refreshments.

We hope we can all looked forward to and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and  Happy New Year.
