Our Golfers Win Again
The Plumbers’ Golf Society swept the board to win both the team and the individual competitions in the prestigious annual Inter-Livery “Ryder Cup” competition. A fabulous achievement!
Our run of success continued on a hot sunny day at Verulam Golf Club, St Albans, the home club of Sam Ryder, the founder of the Ryder Cup competition between Europe and the USA.
We entered two teams into the field of 26 and the team of Paul Nash, Ben Davis, Jane Palmer and Ian Palmer, seen below, swept the board with an unbeatable score to win the prestigious trophy.

Our second team didn’t come away empty handed either, with Richard Harvey

winning the individual competition and the claret jug trophy. Ben Davis was also runner-up in the putting competition. The event is organised by the Worshipful
Company of Marketors in aid of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and sponsored by Hambro Brothers. The day concluded with a delicious three-course dinner. Congratulations to our golfers who are enjoying a great season, on and off the course!
