Visit to Museum of the Home
On Tuesday, 19th March 2024, step back in time with Master David Adams, and his Mistress Kathy, who are delighted to invite you to join them for a visit to the award‐winning, richly atmospheric Museum of the Home, housed in a set of 18th century almshouses in London’s East End, and surrounded by gardens, followed by a 7-course mezze lunch.
Timing:
- 10.30am – Welcome tea/coffee and pastry in the Georgian Suite
- 11am – Talk on the history of the Museum
- 11.15am – Group splits for 1st guided Almshouse Tour / self‐guided tour of the Museum
- 12 noon – Groups swop‐over for 2nd guided Almshouse Tour / self‐guided tour
- 1pm – Lunch at Rapsa Filipino Restaurant (0.2miles)
- 3pm* – Finish
*All are welcome to return to the Museum until it closes at 5pm (last entry at 4pm). There is also a Museum Shop selling homeware, books, craft items, jewellery, toys, ceramics, fashion, accessories, and textiles.

Getting there
The Museum entrance is opposite Hoxton Station (London Overground) on Geffrye Street.You may also enter the Museum from Kingsland Road. This is the best entrance if you are arriving by busand for car drop-offs. Buses 149, 242, 243, and 394 stop at the closest bus stops on Kingsland Road.
