Summer Festival 2024
The Master, David Adams and his Mistress, Kathy, invite you to join them for the annual Summer Festival dinner, this year at Haberdashers’ Hall.
The evening will commence at 6.30pm with a Champagne reception in the courtyard (weather permitting) and the opportunity to have your photograph taken with your guests before dinner.
Carriages will be at 10:30pm.
We are guests of the Haberdashers’ Company, ranking 8th in the order of precedence, so one of the ‘Great Twelve’ tracing its history back to medieval times. The Company’s first hall was completed in 1458, but was destroyed in the Great Fire of London. We will be dining in the fourth hall, which was designed by Michael Hopkins and Partners in the 1990s, and opened by Her Late Majesty the Queen in 2002.
The hall is at 18 West Smithfield, EC1A 9HQ. It is equidistant from three stations: Farringdon, Barbican, and St Paul’s.
We are delighted that our principal guest and speaker will be Sarah Mukherjee MBE, CEO of IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment).
Music will be provided by the Master’s very own choir, the Buckland & Betchworth Choral Society.
NEWS: The Court has formally confirmed our military affiliations with No 1147 Sqn Air Cadets and 23 Army Cadet Detachment (Royal Engineers), and they will mount a joint Guard of Honour the Summer Festival.
The cost of a ticket is £130 a head.
Dress: Black Tie (Dinner Jacket)
This is always an evening of fun and fellowship to which all members of the Livery, their partners and guests, will be given a hearty welcome.
