Some intriguing Persian entertainment.
Kala and I have been very fortunate to have enjoyed of a close friendship with a Persian family including a great deal of excellent home cooked food and hospitality. This together with an introduction to an excellent Persian chef gave us the idea of a Persian Banquet for the Worshipful Company of Plumbers.
The first Persian Empire was founded in 550BC by Cyrus the Great. It grew to cover an area from the Balkans and Eastern Europe in the West to the Indus Valley in the East. 2.1 million square miles.
Persian cuisine is a rich mixture including fresh herbs, fruits like pomegranates and apricots together with flavourings such as saffron, cinnamon, turmeric and parsley.
Please join us to sample these tremendous flavours and dishes together with some very drinkable wine, Persian culture and entertainment
