Ladle Dinner – 2021
The Senior Steward, Clive Sofaer and Stewards invite you to join them in entertaining the Master and Wardens and in honouring the Immediate Past Master, Dr Peter Rumley, at this year’s Ladle Dinner and thanking him for all he has done for the Company over an exceptional two-year period. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to dine in the magnificent surroundings of the historic Saddlers’ Hall.
Venue: Saddlers’ Hall, 40 Gutter Lane, London EC2V 6BR
Timings: 6.30 pm Reception
7.00 pm Dinner
10.30 pm Carriages
Guests: Immediate Past Master, Master, Upper Warden and Renter Warden.
Dress: Lounge Suit, Livery Ties and Badges.
The cost is just £80 per head – to include reception drinks, a three-course dinner, wines, port, coffee and stirrup cup. This includes a modest one-off subsidy from the Company to thank the Livery for their loyalty and support during lockdown and encourage as many as possible to enjoy this event. The Ladle Dinner is the main occasion in the year when Liverymen have the opportunity to meet, get to know each other and make new friends. It is a relaxed, fun and informal dinner. As a suggestion –Liverymen who have acted as a sponsor might like to get in touch with Liverymen they have sponsored and make up a party. There will also be on sale Company ties, ladies’ scarfs and the new ‘must have’, boxed Parker ballpoint pens with our logo at just £10 each – so bring cash / cheque books!
Please also remember the event is for Liverymen only and not open to partners or guests, and note that pour memoires are not sent.
