Annual Inter Livery Rifle Shoot 2024
The annual Inter Livery Rifle Shoot will be held at Bisley, National Shooting Centre, Surrey, on Friday 7th June 2024. This full day event, which started in 2014, is organised by the Bakers’ Company and hosted by the RAF Target Rifle Club.
Upper Warden Charles Brooks is putting together a team, so get in touch to get involved.
Rifle shooting is very much open to all, on an equal footing, and ladies and gentlemen compete equally, for team and individual prizes.
We shoot 4 or 5 disciplines, among the favourites are long range rifle, “cowboy” style pistol, and the moving target. The exact disciplines vary year to year.
No experience is required, and it’s a fun day for all with a dedicated coach each.
Eyesight with or without glasses is not an issue.
Eligibility: teams of 3 Liverymen (including Freemen and Apprentices); their children are welcome too if over 14 years of age. Some capacity for individuals. Event limited to 16 teams.
Cost: estimated to be £400 per person to reflect the fully inclusive nature of the day. There will be a nominal catering charge for non-shooting guests.
The day includes breakfast, lunch, tea and free bar in the evening.
Any surplus generated is donated to RAF charities, part supporting a course for disadvantaged Air Cadets to improve life skills.
