Election of Sheriffs 2021

Aldermen Alison Gowman and Nicholas Lyons were elected as the Sheriffs of the City of London for the forthcoming year in a specially socially distanced ceremony held in the Guildhall on 24th June 2021.
Only one member from each Livery company was able to attend, primarily the Masters. Our own Master, Dr Peter Rumley, was present and the event was recorded for all to see. The pomp and ceremony was still very much in place, but the lockdown rules prevented the traditional gathering of the ‘clans’ and post-election lunches we normally enjoy.
