While Past Masters were looking forward to the Ladle Dinner at Apothecaries’ Hall, Past Mistresses and Consorts enjoyed a convivial reunion in the grand State Apartments of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, where Anne Wadsworth hosted a hearty luncheon in the company of Lady Bradshaw, the wife of the present Governor. Pensioners Roy, Michael and George brought a splash of colour to the occasion, which was crowned by Royal Hospital superstar Colin Thackery, the oldest ever winner of Britain’s Got Talent and a veteran of the Korean War, performing a moving rendition of “Love Changes Everything”.
