Caribbean Evening

Company News

A fun filled evening of Caribbean cocktails, canapés and food, with music and dancing at the October Gallery in Bloomsbury hosted by Linett Kamala, a Director of the Notting Hill Carnival.

We enjoyed a fabulous evening in this vibrant art gallery and theatre. The October Gallery, located close to Russell Square, is a long established art gallery renowned for exhibiting contemporary, international, avant-garde work. After 16 years of successful leadership in schools Linett decided to dedicate her time to her creative work including Carnival Arts Culture. With themed cocktails and canapés to start, she gave us a thoughtful insight into the origins of the carnival before we sat down to some traditional Caribbean fare.

Everyone dressed appropriately for carnival and Linett, one of the first female DJs at the Carnival, then led us on an evening of Caribbean dancing. Click on each picture below to see the Plumbers in action! Make sure the sound is turned on to enjoy the full experience!

Never mind the Lord Mayor’s Show, will the Plumbers be entering the Notting Hill Carnival with a float and dancers? I think not!

Thank you Master Nick and Kala for a fantastic evening!
