This year’s election of the Lord Mayor will be held at the Guildhall on Monday 30th September and Liverymen who were admitted to the Livery before the 31st May 2012 are eligible to vote. I’m sure you will know that Alderman Fiona Woolf, one of our Court Assistants, is standing for election this year and a strong support from the Company would be ideal. Those who wish to attend Common Hall in the Guildhall to vote to approve the election of the Lord Mayor should note that, once again, passes will be required for entry. These may be obtained in advance only from this office. As in the past, Beadles from selected Companies will be on duty at the wicket gates to the Guildhall from 10.45 am onwards. Proceedings start at the Guildhall at 11.30am precisely and Liverymen should be seated no later than 11.15am. Following the election, the Painter Stainers’ Company has invited us to join them for luncheon in Painters’ Hall and have 20 places available.
