Explore the disused spaces of Charing Cross Underground Station and go behind closed doors to exclusive areas not accessible to the public. This is a unique opportunity to view sites where blockbuster movies such as Skyfall, Paddington Bear and TV’s 24 were filmed. Places are limited to 30.

Welsh harpist Gwenllian Llyr continues our 2018-19 Lunchtime Recital Series at St Bartholomew the Less. Her programme will include works by Debussy, Scriabin, and Liszt, as well as music by the French harpist/composer Henriette Renié and by Welsh composers Grace Williams, Haldon Evans, and William Matthias.

Are you a student, working towards NVQ Level 3 MES (Plumbing) or equivalent? If the answer is yes, then you could be one of the latest recipients of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers tools and equipment Bursary.
The Worshipful Company offers Bursaries of up to £1000 to assist students working for NVQ Level 3 MES (Plumbing) or equivalent buy costly tools and equipment. This is awarded in vouchers for tools and equipment only, (it cannot be used to offset any course fees provided by an employer).
Students are encouraged to apply direct but must have a reference from their lecturer or employer. Professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), training providers and employers are encouraged to support students who, in their opinion, meet the criteria and would therefore merit consideration as possible recipients of a Bursary. In the beautiful Wren Church of St Magnus the Martyr, Dame Fiona Woolf was sworn into office as our new Master. She is supported by Upper Warden Dr Peter Rumley and Renter Warden Nick Jones, who were also duly sworn in using the words approved by the Court in 1611.
We welcome our new Master and our two new Wardens. Further details of the day will follow shortly.

I am delighted to advise the Livery that the Company has appointed a new Clerk.
Following a selection process and interviews, Adrian Mumford MA, MMus, FCIS, ARCM, FLCM has been appointed as our next Clerk. Adrian has accepted the appointment and will take up his appointment on 2 January 2019.
Adrian's home is in Teddington and his early career included internal auditing and project accountant roles. Between 1997 and 2017 he was Chief Executive (Diocesan Secretary) of the Church of England's Diocese in Europe. This involved heading a small Westminster office which provided a range of high-quality services to support the operation and governance of the diocese. In his spare time, Adrian is a church organist and he is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
I am very pleased with the outcome of the recruitment process and look forward to seeing Adrian taking up the reins as Clerk. The Company is extremely grateful to Air Commodore Paul Nash, who kindly came out of retirement to assist us in the interim (and will continue to do so for a transitionary period).
